Hello, I am Andrew and this is my story.
I came into the Pointer Rescue Organization with 75 other dogs. We weren’t being taken care of where we lived before.
My new friends at rescue saw that I was terribly shy, and they found out I’m deaf. Instead of giving up on me, they sent me to a place called a foster home, where for a year they’ve been helping me learn to understand the wonderful new world I’m living in, and to communicate as a deaf dog.
I find that spending time in my special chair, or walking in the sunshine, helps me cope with all the changes I’ve been through. The best of all is knowing that so many people want to help me, like the volunteer who wrote to the Shelter Pet Project Typing Lady and asked her to make this post, communicating my thoughts that I sent to her psychically.
While my foster home is in Colorado, I am available with transport to approved homes within 1,500 miles… amazing! These humans really are very good people, to care so much about us dogs!
